How to Volunteer

Volunteers: we need you! Your Blues Society is run entirely by volunteers. We have several types of volunteer opportunities.

Work a shift at the show. Besides a sense of accomplishment, show volunteers get into the shows for free and receive a couple of free drink tickets. We could use your help, so call 541-7930 (our voice mail number) or and volunteer to work a shift at the show.

Get involved in a special project. From time to time we have other types of volunteer opportunities available. These include activities related to publicizing the show (like posting flyers or distributing handbills), mobilizing for special projects, and raising funds (how about selling newsletter ads or organizing a silent auction). Attend the Board of Directors meetings. San Luis Obispo Blues Society members who are regular volunteers are eligible for open positions on the Board of Directors. Elections are held in the fall and you are welcome to attend meetings anytime. Send e-mail to sloblues@slonet.org for more information.
