Welcome

The SLO Bytes Linux Users Group is a non-profit organization of Linux users and computer enthusiasts based in San Luis Obispo, California. This LUG is a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the SLO Bytes PC Users Group.

We meet once a month at the KCBX Training Center to share our experiences about Linux, demonstrate applications and features of the Linux operating system. Other discussions include computer hardware as it applies to Linux and interfacing with the Windows or MAC operating system. The majority of our users have SimplyMepis 7.0 installed so we usually cater our presentations around this distribution and the KDE desktop. Our other favorites are: DSL, Mandriva, and Ubuntu.

Questions about our group may be directed to our coordinator, Alan J. Raul
