January 16, 2009; 1 PM: Vital Records on the Internet. Using the Internet to efficiently locate records of births, marriages, and deaths.

February 20, 2009; 1 PM: Building a Free Family Tree at Ancestry.com. Come see the ins and outs of the free family tree system at Ancestry, including new functionality that allows you attach records to your tree. Also addressed are creating GEDCOM’s and data-entry specifications useful for any genealogy database program.   

March 20, 2009; 1 PM: Finding Your Family Online. Has someone else already done your research? If so, you don’t want to re-invent the wheel. This session will help you locate and evaluate previously-accomplished research available on the Internet.

April 17, 2009; 9:30 AM: Googling Grandpa. Learn to use Google to discover your ancestors and enrich your knowledge of their lives, including perhaps even finding photos!   

May 15, 2009; 1 PM: Finding Living Cousins Online. Explore the possibilities of cousin-connection genealogy with this demonstration of (1) discovering and (2) locating and contacting people with whom you share great-great-grandparents. Maybe they inherited photos and documents that you do not have!
